My name is Alison Bell and I have been working as a professional driving instructor since 2015. I am a member of the New Zealand Institute of Driver Educators and I spent 6 years licenced under the AA driving school brand. I decided to take the leap and start my own independent driving school, Hamilton Driving School.
I am a local person assisting locals to move through the graduated driver licencing system or helping those needing to convert their overseas licence to a NZ licence. Learning to drive is a right of passage that most of us get to experience, it is a fantastic experience to go on that journey with students and see the confidence build and witness the joy they feel when they finally achieve their driving goals.
My automatic car is a late model Holden Spark, which comes complete with dual control pedals and in-car camera for your safety Lessons can also be conducted in your own vehicle if that is what you prefer.
I offer a driving lesson experience tailored to each student, you may want a series of lessons to get you started, a full comprehensive set of lessons to take you from raw beginner to competent driver ready to sit your test I also offer practice tests for students who want to get the feel of the testing environment prior to sitting their actual test and to see if their skills meet the standard required. For organisations I am experienced in conducting driving assessments and can customise these to meet the needs of your organisation, just drop me a line and we can have a conversation. For older drivers I also provide refresher lessons for those that have lost some confidence or who are wanting to get back behind the wheel after an injury or illness.
